Art is Alive!
On Monday 1 December all the North School teachers involved in Arts and Culture attended a morning workshop held at the school.
The workshop was presented by two of our own teachers – Christine Harries and Sheryl Hesom.
The focus was on the art competition the Education Department has launched for the Soccer World Cup. Different techniques and requirements were discussed and explained. The teachers were then left to their own creativity to make a collage relating to the relevant themes. Some really interesting ideas came to the fore. They left the workshop feeling motivated and inspired!!

Paws for People
A group of representatives from Paws for People and their dogs visited North Primary School. The Foundation Phase children learnt all about the correct way of meeting, greeting and treating dogs. They taught the children what to do if a dog jumps against them, what to do if a dog knocks them over and how to say hello to a dog.
Paws for People bring together domestic animals and people in a warm non-threatening and educational manner; encouraging and allowing them to interact positively through a professional and friendly approach.
